Nerdle is a daily puzzle game that draws inspiration from Wordle. While Wordle has you guessing words, Nerdle has you solving tricky maths equations. That’s great for you math enthusiasts, but it might be more difficult for the rest of us since arithmetic requires less guesswork than word games do. Fortunately, we can assist you.
You can play Nerdle right here. Before you go.
What is Nerdle?
A daily puzzle game that swaps words for numbers called Nerdle is similar to Wordle. Yes, you have to complete a difficult arithmetic problem every day.
You do receive numerous attempts, similar to Wordle, and you must explain your calculations. You will then receive feedback, with the calculations’ right components displayed in green and the numbers that were calculated in the incorrect place shown in red.
This should help you get to the correct calculation if you’re paying close enough attention. If not, just keep reading for tips and tricks, as well as the solution itself.
How Does It Work?
If you’ve played Wordle before, Nerdle should feel fairly familiar. Ultimately, you’re still guessing something in pretty much the same manner, except its numbers rather than words.
You have to basically create an equation, and Nerdle will give you some feedback. There are some ground rules though:
- Each guess has to be a complete calculation
- You can only use numbers, +, -, *, /, or =
- Your equation must use one ‘=’
- The equal must appear before a final number
- Standard order of calculations applies
Green marks indicate numbers that are in the right location and in the solution. Red numbers are highlighted at the incorrect location, and black numbers are completely absent from the solution. Utilize this to identify the correct equation.
Tips and Tricks
Before we give you today’s solution, here are a few tips and tricks that might help you to solve it:
- Go crazy: You’ve got nothing to lose by using as many numbers as possible in your first guess. Keep green numbers in the same spot for your second guess, and use red numbers in different places. Also, use numbers you haven’t guessed yet in subsequent guesses, ignoring black numbers.
- Work backward: You want to try and get the correct answer first, and you’ve only got five guesses to do so before it gets tricky. Once you know the answer, working out the equation backward – understanding the rules above – will make life a lot easier.
- The rules are your safety net: There are rules to maths equations, so look them up before starting. That will enormously help you with the number of placements.
